The formula to solid irons


You’ve likely been told by a fellow golfer to stop trying to scoop your iron shots.

But what’s the key to start really hitting your irons well?

One good thought is to feel like your chest is more on top of the ball at impact. This prevents standing up, which usually goes with the lifting motion.

Another way is to push your right knee toward your left knee, which transfers the weight to your front side.

One more: Strike the ball with the back of your left hand facing the target. That gets right to the issue of eliminating the lift
