Make a beeline o the ball

If you want to hit your irons close to the pin more consistently, it starts with a proper setup.

Some golfers have a tendency to address the ball with their hips open or closed. So make sure your hips are square—because your shoulders will follow.

As you swing to the top, try to turn as much as you can. It helps you get power and also start on the ideal swing plane. When you start down, one swing thought you always use: Drop the hands straight to the ball. In other words, from a full windup, you feel like yours hands make a beeline to the ball as your shoulders stay turned.

That creates the perfect angle into impact.
