Hit it solid every time

If you’re struggling with iron play, you bet it’s because your club is bottoming out too early and hitting the ground behind the ball. When the clubhead is moving upward through impact, you’ll produce a higher, weaker ball flight. The bottom of your swing needs to be a few inches in front of the ball. To do so, the handle of the club needs to lead the clubhead into impact.

Think about your lower body shifting toward the target as you start down and turning your hips to get your weight to your front foot. Now your hands will lead the clubhead into the ball, setting you up for flush contact.
