Escape every bunker

Common Fault It often takes you two shots to escape bunkers  Your distance control and range of shots from bunkers is letting you down

Tip Fix One of the most regular faults is players who try to dig their ball out of the bunker, taking far too much sand.

Take a moment to watch the best players in the world and you’ll notice how shallow the angle of clubhead attack is. They might hit the sand half an inch before the ball, but they only take a thin sliver of sand through impact.

You will find that your ball position helps this. Make sure that it is forward in your stance at address, in line with your left heel. This will promote the ideal shallow angle of attack and will help you find the perfect contact more regularly.
