Altering your tee peg height will have the possitive effect of encoraging an improved angle of attack and swing path through the golf ball. * See image below
In leamans terms if you are prone to a "SLICE" *Ball starting left of target and finishing right of target, you should tee the ball higher which will encorage a shallower angle of attack and a flatter swing path through impact
The opposite would then be true for a "HOOK" *Ball starting right of target and finishing left of target, you should tee the ball lower which in turn will encourage a steeper angle of attack and a steeper swing path
It is recognised that the optimum tee height for a player who has a relatively straight ball flight would be half the ball protruding above the top of the club face
