One move to more power

One of golf’s oldest clichés is “maintain your posture.”


But keeping your head level might be robbing you of distance. What you want to do is squat as you start down and then push off the ground as you swing through the ball. Tiger has done this his whole career. This move is similar to any athlete leaping in the air.

Here’s an image: Pretend there’s a banana lying lengthwise under your front foot. Squash it as you swing down, and then push up.
