Putting – how to practice

When you are on the practice green you can take a straight edge (golf club) and make a stroke, after the stroke pause and look at the clubface in relation to the straight edge on the ground. Make sure the clubface is at right angles to the straight edge.

The other way to check the clubface is to make a stroke towards a full length mirror (without a ball) after the follow through pause and look into the mirror and see if the face is looking towards the mirror.

This is one of the best kept secrets that nobody pays attention to.
